Small connectors & slender components
Custom Swiss-Turned Connectors
Swiss machining for slender shafts, small connectors and multi-feature rotational parts, reviewed by material, geometry and batch needs.
- Small and slender geometries
- Threads, shoulders and multiple features
- Batch consistency and in-process inspection
Understand the part.
Choose the right process.
Small-connector review considers bar diameter, slenderness, end threads, cross-holes and deburring. A connecting function does not establish sealing or application certification.
This page illustrates components that can be submitted for review. Material grade, critical dimensions, finishes and inspection follow the agreed drawing and technical requirements.
Applications: Precision connecting, locating and equipment components
Specifications & RFQ requirements
Agreed requirements connect manufacturing and acceptance.
| Process | Swiss machining / precision turning |
|---|---|
| Material | Brass, stainless steel and other specified grades |
| Dimensions & tolerances | Reviewed by geometry, material and drawing |
| Surface finish | Process and supply scope confirmed against requirements |
| Quantity & delivery | Prototype and batch inquiries welcome; project-specific review |
| RFQ requirements | 2D / 3D drawings, material, quantity and critical requirements |
| Stock & geometry inputs | Material grade, maximum diameter, overall length, slender sections and transverse features |
| Threads & cleanliness | Thread standard, go/no-go gauging, deburring, cleaning and packaging scope |
Axis travel, machine accuracy and instrument resolution are not unconditional part-tolerance guarantees. Achievable requirements need a part-specific review.
Every step follows the drawing.
Drawing & process review
Confirm material, functional dimensions and process priorities.
Workholding & machining
Select equipment, workholding and machining sequence.
First-article & in-process checks
Measure critical features and check the process.
Final inspection & delivery
Review dimensions, appearance and agreed documentation.

Inspection matched to critical features.
CMM, vision, contour and other methods are selected around the drawing. Inspection scope and documentation are agreed during project review.

Which dimensions are needed for a Swiss-turned connector?
Alongside the complete drawing, identify maximum diameter, overall length, slender sections, bore depth, threads and transverse features. Material and bar-stock condition influence the feasible process.
How should threads and cross-holes be accepted?
Specify thread standard, tolerance, gauges, edge deburring and cleanliness requirements. Sealing, leak or application-specific testing needs a separate scope review before quotation.
How should I quote prototypes and batches?
State prototype quantity, expected batches, repeat-order plans and critical-feature records separately. Minimum quantities, stock procurement and timing depend on geometry and process review.
