Tolerance is a part requirement
Dimensional tolerances define allowable variation in size; geometric tolerances control form, orientation or location. Consistent conformance depends on material, geometry, size, workholding, processing and inspection. A machine specification does not establish a universal tolerance promise for every component.
Accuracy and repeatability differ
Positioning accuracy describes deviation from a target position; repeatability describes the consistency of returning to a position. Temperature, loading, tool wear and calibration affect actual results. Axis travel describes machine movement, not an unconditional workpiece envelope for every geometry.
Resolution is not measurement accuracy
Resolution is the smallest increment an instrument distinguishes or displays. It does not independently establish measurement uncertainty or machining tolerance. Critical features need appropriate instruments, methods, environmental conditions and calibration. Agree on the reporting scope during quotation.
Check equipment and RFQ documents
Cross-check equipment information with the factory inventory and original literature. General process guidance does not replace the customer drawing or project agreement.
